        Question:

Do I Need to Hire an Attorney If I Plan on Pleading Guilty?

        Answer:

When interviewing clients who have been arrested for any type of crime, yes, we advise that you should speak to an attorney. You should hire an attorney right away upon your arrest. It’s very critical to hire an attorney specifically when you are contemplating entering a plea. We would advise any client who’s been arrested for any kind of crime, consult with an attorney who’s experienced in representing individuals who’ve been arrested prior to entering any kind of plea. Sometimes a deal might seem too good to be true. You know what they say about that. Often it is.

Any time you are arrested for a crime and you’re charged with a crime, it is very important to speak to an attorney prior to entering any type of plea. The reason why this happens is throughout the state of Florida, prosecutors are trained to just get the plea done, get individuals who are arrested to enter a plea to a crime. The prosecutors are trained to do this by offering seemingly good pleas. They’ll offer you low ramifications or low sentences. A lot of times, people without attorneys will go ahead and take those, but down the road, those could affect you in several ways. Maybe you enter a plea and you were judicated guilty for a crime which could affect you in many different ways. For example, that could prevent you from getting your case sealed or expunged later on in the future.

There are many specific details that could affect you for any particular crime in the state of Florida. We would highly recommend that you speak to an attorney and hire an attorney prior to entering any type of plea. “In October 2015, My husband was a passenger in a horrible car accident and was hospitalized for two months. After being in ICU for a little over a month , I reached out to Mr. Corzo and He met me in the hospital a day after. Since my husband was still unconscious and in ICU I decided to hire Mr.Corzo for Davids personal injury and workers compensation case. From the moment I met Mr.Corzo he was very emphatic and attentive to all my questions and concerns. Anytime I would email him with a question he would get back to me right away. I would even email/text his paralegal Denise after hours if I had any questions and she would get back to me within a hour. Mr. Corzo made sure he fully explained and went over everything with us before we made any decisions. Mr. Corzo went out of his way to make sure David was taken care of. After my husband was released from the hospital, Mr. Corzo called and checked up on David and made sure he was getting the care he needed. I truly believe Mr. Corzo went above and beyond for my husband in winning both cases. We are extremely blessed with the outcome and would highly recommend him to anyone that may need a lawyer. Due to my husbands injuries we will need to apply for disability, Mr.Corzo offered to help us fill out the paper work and make sure everything is done correctly. We can’t THANK him enough for all that he has done for our family. #Thankful”– David and Jennifer Alvarez
